Belfry House - Lake Geneva, WI
An independently owned and operated boutique hotel in a Chicago vacation town. This new build is the hospitality offering to a historic music theater on the same property, now bringing in famous tribute bands to the Beatles, Elvis, and more. The client wanted a romantic, bed-and-breakfast feel that tied into the brand of the theater.
Designed in 2019 and cancelled during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Scope
New build of a 12-room bed-and-breakfast
Guestrooms, corridors, lobby, reception, restaurant, and back of house.
Minor consultations on exterior work.
Project Roles and Responsibilites:
Principal designer, project manager and general consultant.
Worked closely with the client who was a new hotel owner.
Created custom interior design + furniture concepts
Worked with local and national fabricators to create custom guestroom lighting and casegoods; lobby seating, casegoods, artwork and wallcovering.
Sourced: Fabrics, materials, small furniture items, etc.
Created highly informed FF&E specifications, including furniture line drawings.
Developed schedules for finishes, fixtures, and hardware.
Prepared all client presentations and in-house renderings.
Produced construction drawing sets that included furniture plans, finish plans, elevations and millwork details.
Worked with purchasing agent on budget prior to project cancellation.
